A Mothers Poem

Mother i love you
you think with dismay
are words that you never
here me say

I'll come home grumbling
then make a huge mess
then i'll do a little
and make you do the rest

"Today was the worst!"
you'll here me remark
while remembering that yours
was no walk in the park

You give me constant reminders
like do not tell lies
and i'm sure theres no end
to my rolling of eyes.

I cannot believe
even through all i do and say
that the truth still remains
that you love me anyway

You're always a miracle
constant and true
and when i'm a mom
I'll always think of you

how you put others happiness
in front of your own
And i'll always remember all the kindness
you alone have shown

your mouth might fall open
but know this is true
without a doubt on my mind
i love you too.
